NCHA Foundation Scholarships

As one of the NCHA Foundation tenets, the youth scholarship tenet ensures that NCHA youth members have the funds available to achieve their educational/professional goals by providing the youth the opportunity to earn scholarships in and out of the cutting arena. In addition to the management of the scholarship investment account, which holds NYCHA member's scholarship funds for use until their 25th birthday, the NCHA Foundation is proud to provide scholarships in the following areas to further student's goals.

Merit-Based Scholarship Program

The NCHA Foundation currently provides $25,000 in merit-based scholarship funds to NYCHA members in good standing annually. Applications go live on April 1st and must be fully submitted by June 30th. All merit-based scholarship applications must be submitted via the online portal. To learn more about the merit-based scholarship program, visit the NCHA Foundation Scholarships Page.

Competition-Based Scholarships

The NCHA Foundation provides $30,000 in scholarship funds in support of the NCHA Foundation Scholarship Cutting held in Fort Worth, Texas in conjunction with NYCHA Youth Week.

In addition to the scholarship opportunities above, the NCHA Foundation also offers a grant program open to requests for youth education, leadership activities, and events.
