Senior World Tour

Are you 60 or older?  Join the NCHA Senior World Tour!  During the point year,  local Championship / Weekend shows may offer approved classes especially for our seniors.  This year-long world tour consists of a class within a class at any approved championship / weekend show.  Points are accumulated by riders to determine the top 15 riders in all eligible classes.  These top seniors will be recognized during  the World Champions Award Banquet at the Futurity.   A senior contestant is defined as any open, non-pro, or amateur rider that is age 60 or older and meets all other NCHA rules regarding their status and membership.

AWARDS

YEAR END TOP 10: In each of 8 classes to be awarded at the World Championship Awards Banquet during the Futurity.

LOCAL PRIZES -  Affiliates/Producers can use their portion of the entry fee & other sponsorships to buy awards as they see fit.

HOW IT WORKS - IT USES POINTS

Seniors will enter a normal Championship / Weekend class.  They then also enter the Senior World Tour class that runs concurrently.  Points and monies are awarded based on the scales below.  Points are then tallied in the 8 classes / class combinations below. 

Classes / Class Combinations:

1. Open, 25K Novice Horse, $5K Novice Horse (Open classes combined)
2. Non-Pro
3. $25K Novice Non-Pro
4. $5K Novice Non-Pro
5. $50K Amateur
6. $35 Non-Pro
7.  $15K Amateur
8. $2K Limit Rider/Any Horse

Senior Tour Point System

Same as Mandatory Payout, except for 1-3 entries

ENTRY FEE AT CHAMPIONSHIP / WEEKEND SHOWS

1. Individual Affiliates/Producers will be allowed to determine the total entry fee for their senior class.
2. A Fixed Amount Award Fee will go to NCHA for Senior World Tour Finals Awards in the Senior Divisions-$6.00
3. A minimum entry fee of $20 will be required with $10 jackpot, $6.00/NCHA, $4.00/Affiliates
4. A minimum of 50% of the entry fee will be jack-potted.

JACKPOT PAYOUT EXAMPLE:

Entry Fee $20 (JP-$10): $4.00 to Affiliate/Producer and $6.00 to NCHA
1-3 horses $10, $20, or $30 depending on number of entries
4 horses               $24.00       $16.00

Remember, only the points count towards standings.

Monies earned will count on lifetime earnings and on rider’s and horse’s eligibility.
