The NCHA would like to congratulate Scott Amos on being selected as the 2020 recipient of the Zane Schulte Award.
The Zane Schulte Award was established in 2001 in honor of the late Zane Schulte, son of Tom and Barbra Schulte. Presented annually, this award is given to a professional trainer who exemplifies the character by which Zane himself is remembered: integrity, service, values, respect of their peers, contribution to the industry, and excellence in the arena.
“The Zane Schulte Award committee is excited for Scott to be this year’s recipient,” Barbra said. “He exemplifies the attributes of character, respect of peers and contributions in the arena. On behalf of the entire committee, Congratulations Scott.”
Amos has been an NCHA member since 1992 and currently operates a training business out of Loma, Colorado. Amos works tirelessly to help his clients achieve their goals in the cutting pen while simultaneously improving their horsemanship.
“I’ll be honest with you, I was really shocked,” Amos said. “It’s a pretty tall class of recipients on that list, so I am really humbled. It just means a lot that people think of me in that way. Zane was a great kid, and I hope I can uphold that character and be a true representative of the award.”
Amos will be presented with the Jan Mapes sculpture during the upcoming 2020 NCHA North Texas Chevy Dealers World Championship Futurity presented by Great American Insurance.
