The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Transwest NCHA Western National Championships presented by 6666 Ranches entirely.
“This decision did not come lightly,” Jay Winborn, NCHA Executive Director, said. “With the uncertainty of the situation in Denver, Colorado, along with the health and personal safety of our members and fans being our top priority, the NCHA felt it was in the best interest of the membership to cancel the Western National Championships.”
Western National competitors can expect all entries and penalties from the 2020 Transwest NCHA Western National Championships presented by 6666 Ranches to be refunded by Thursday, June 25.
The 2020 NCHA Metallic Cat Summer Cutting Spectacular remains scheduled for July 7 through August 2. It will run on the same leveled schedule that was originally formatted for the 2020 NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes. A tentative version of the schedule is available on the nchacutting.com/events/summer-spectacular.
