Jessie Pritchard and Who Ya Callin Shorty, by High Brow CD,  scored 222 points on Tuesday to win the Augusta Futurity 4-Year-Old Intermediate Finals. Walt Erwin and Sweet Metallic CD 16, by Metallic Cat, marked 218 to place second in the nine-horse finals, while Gabe Reynolds and Reyz Your Chelada, by Reydioactive placed third with 215 points. 

Pritchard and Erwin also showed Hes Light N Catty, by Light N Lena, and Southern Side, by Metallic Cat, respectively, with 213 and 208, in the Open Intermediate Finals, and Erwin will show Southern Side in the Open Finals, on Saturday, as well.

Owned by Shannon Daugherty, Thompson Station, Tenn., and bred by Grace Ranch, Who Ya Callin Shorty LTE $5,806 is a full sister to Shorta CD LTE $91,006. 

Jessie Pritchard, the NCHA earner of $328,236, placed ninth in the 2018 Augusta Futurity Open 5/6 Classic riding One Bat Cat LTE $38,967, by Dualin Boon, who he had shown to win the Southern Futurity 4-Year-Old Open Limited, the year before. In 2017, Pritchard also won the Cotton Stakes 4-Year-Old Open Limited riding Rey Too Purdy LTE $55,920, by Dual Smart Rey.

Sweet Metallic CD 16, owned by Mark Senn, Augusta ,Ga., also scored 214.5, on Wednesday, in the Non-Pro go-round under Senn, the Amateur/Non-Pro earner of $184,116. 

Senn, who was reserve champion of the 2019 Southern Futurity 5/6 Amateur Classic on Kreepin Cat LTE $78,917, also placed fourth in last year’s Augusta Futurity Non-Pro Finals with Olena Shes Metallic LTE $37,430, by Metallic Cat, who Walt Erwin showed to place fourth in the Open finals, as well, and to win the 2018 Cotton Stakes Open Intermediate, and place ninth in the 2019 NCHA Super Stakes Open Limited.

Erwin, the NCHA earner of $709,108, won the 2019 Augusta Futurity 5/6 Classic Open championship riding Willie J Rey LTE $85,556, by Dual Rey, and placed sixth in the Open 4-Year-Old Futurity on Smooth Pepto Pistol LTE $20,687, who he also showed as an NCHA Futurity Open Limited finalist.

Sweet Metallic CD 16, out of Sweet Little CD, dam of earners of $1.2 million, is a three-quarter brother to NCHA Futurity champion,  Horse of the Year, and leading sire High Brow CD LTE $502,202.

Mark Senn also owns the Cat Ichi gelding Gunnar Jensen, who Craig Thompson qualified to show in the 4-Year-old Open Finals. Thompson also marked 222 on Senn’s Kreepin Cat Wednesday to lead the go-round for Thursday’s 41 Open Championship.
