Langston Pattillo, St. Elmo, Ill., scored 222 points on Catsa U Later LTE $19,784, by Boon Too Suen, to win the Abilene Spectacular Amateur Derby. Hunter Williams, Nolan, Tex., took second with 219 points on Rumor On The Street, by Dual Rey, as well as first in the Amateur Gelding division. Williams also placed sixth in the seven-horse finals aboard Mightee Merle, by WR This Cats Smart.
Last December, Langston Pattillo, the NCHA earner of $392,682, showed Catsa U Later to place ninth in the NCHA Non-Pro Futurity and was reserve champion of the NCHA Non-Pro Derby riding Shesa Tuff Teaspoon LTE $21,680, by Woody Be Tuff.
In 2018, Pattillo showed High Stylin CD LTE $263,681 to claim the title of NCHA Amateur Horse of the Year. Altogether, in 2018 and 2019, Pattillo and his High Brow CD gelding earned money in 41 limited age events finals, including 21 wins.
Hunter Williams, the NCHA earner of $104,973, placed sixth aboard Little Naughty Kitty LTE $23,672, by Metallic Cat, in the 2019 NCHA Amateur Derby, and was a finalist in the 2019 NCHA Classic Challenge Amatuer Unlimited on Way To Naughty LTE $39,598.

Sadye Simpson and Smart Sugar Kitty $50,009, by Kit Kat Sugar, reigned as champions of the Abilene Spectacular 5/6 Amateur Finals with 224 points, while Duff Sinclair and Ima Rey Kat LTE $30,522, by Kit Kat Sugar, scored 221.5 to claim the reserve championship and win the 5/6 Amateur Gelding division.
Sadye Simpson, the NCHA earner of $50,650, claimed her biggest NCHA check as reserve champion of the 2016 NCHA Amateur Classic Challenge on Metallic Little Cat $144,555, by Metallic Cat, and also placed third in the 2015 NCHA Amateur Super Stakes with Smooth Sophie Rey LTE $19,067, by Smooth As A Cat.
Smart Sugar Kitty and 4-year-old Dualin Kit Kat LTE $7,579, by Kit Kat Sugar, are the first foals out of Dual Smart Kitty LTE $316,252, winner of the 2013 NCHA Open Futurity.
Duff Sinclair, the NCHA earner of $181,915, was reserve champion of the NCHA Classic Challenge Amateur Unlimited last year riding Goodlookinsonofaich LTE $89,334, and placed ninth in the NCHA Super Stakes Non-Pro Limited with Gimmeabreaklilkitty LTE $15,071, who also carried Sinclair as champion of the Waco Texas 4-Year-Old Non-Pro Limited.
Sinclair also showed Ima Rey Kat this year as reserve champion of the Non-Pro Plus Amateur Unlimited and champion of the Waco Texas Futurity 5/6-Year-Old Non-Pro Limited.
