Bet Shes Smooth scored 223 points under Lindy Burch to win the title of 2019 AQHA Senior Cutting World Champion, on November 10, during the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City. Pharoah And James, ridden by Clint Allen, claimed the reserve championship with 222 points.

Owned and bred by Oxbow Ranch, Lipan, Tex., out of NCHA World Champion Bet Yer Blue Boons, 7-year-old Bet Shes Smooth was the 2015 NCHA Futurity Open reserve champion under Burch. Later this month, the 7-year-old Smooth As A Cat daughter, career earner of $165,725 will compete under Burch in the NCHA World Championship Open Finals. It was Burch who showed Bet Yer Blue Boons LTE $332,960 to win the 2000 NCHA World Open Championship and to set a record of 233 in the 1999 NCHA World Finals.

“It’s a great honor to win the AQHA World Championship,” said Burch, a two-time AQHA World Show reserve champion, who was the first woman to become NCHA Open World Champion, as well as the first woman to win the NCHA Open Futurity. Burch and Bet Shes Smooth also have an excellent shot at earning NCHA World Reserve Champion and World Champion Mare titles during the 7 Ranch NCHA World Finals this December, in Fort Worth.

Bet Shes Smooth is a three-quarter sister to 2011 NCHA World Champion Bet Hesa Cat LTE $267,465, one of five $100,000+ earners, all by different sires, out of Bet Yer Blue Boons, who died on May 1, 2019 at the age of 31, having produced 22 earners of over $1.2 million.

Pharoah And James, 2019 AQHA Senior Cutting Reserve World Champion, was bred by his owners David and Stacie McDavid, Fort Worth, Tex. The 6-year-old gelding, sired by Hickorys Indian Pep out of Wise Little Miss, has NCHA career earnings of $202,671.

Rockin KW claims AQHA World Junior Cutting title
Rockin KW, shown by Dylan Meyer for Whitney and Kim Davis, Millsap, Tex., scored 225.5 points to win the of 2019 AQHA Junior Cutting World Championship. Mizpah Cat, shown by Ed Dufurrena for Shona Dufurrena, earned the Reserve title with 223.5 points.

Rockin KW, a 5-year-old daughter of Rockin W, was reserve champion of the Arbuckle Mountain 4-Year-Old Open Futurity with Meyer, and winner of the Amateur Unlimited finals with Kim Davis, who also showed the mare to win the 2018 Breeders Invitational Amateur championship. With over $147,000 in NCHA earnings, Rockin KW has collected money in the finals of 28 limited age final divisions.

Mizpah Cat LTE $42,536, a 5-year-old daughter of Auspicious Cat, bred by Brandon Duffurena, Gainesville, Tex., is a three-quarter sister to 2015 NCHA Futurity Open champion Stevie Rey Von LTE $418,947 and to 2015 NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year Purple Reyn LTE $356,632, both sired by Metallic Cat and out of Miss Ella Rey LTE $375,842.
