MEMBER NOTIFICATION:
The newly constituted NCHA Competition Committee met on Saturday, November 18, at the NCHA offices in Fort Worth, Texas. There were 22 of the 24 members present. Also present were NCHA Executive Director, Chuck Smith, NCHA Director of Shows, Dave Brian, Executive Committee member, David Pilcher, and NCHA Director of Administrative Services, Cathy Cheugh.
The Committee had been directed by the Executive Committee to review Standing Rule 34 and recommend changes or revisions to bring clarity to it. Prior to the November 18 meeting, Chair Frank Merrill and Vice Chair Bob Tregemba appointed a Subcommittee to be chaired by Skip Jones to be the working group to draft changes and/or revisions. The Subcommittee reported to the Committee at large on Saturday. After discussion, the matter was referred back to the Subcommittee for further revisions and clarifications. The Subcommittee plans to have the amended draft to the full Committee in the near future at which time a meeting will be scheduled.
