The Executive Committee approved this evening the following clarification (see below) to Futurity Rule 1.A.7.
Since the NCHA World Championship Futurity is beginning early this year, the NCHA Executive Committee has approved the following clarifications to NCHA Futurity Rule I.A.7 to insure that the participants act in full compliance with that rule:
Upon being nominated, a horse cannot be shown in any event involving cattle from the time of the nomination until the Futurity is completed. This includes showing that horse in non-approved or approved events held by individuals or other organizations prior to and including the last day of the Futurity. Horses shown in violation of this rule will be disqualified from the Futurity and all Futurity earnings on the horse will be forfeited. Any substituted horses and late entries must not have been shown after September 15, 2016. In addition, a horse cannot be worked on cattle in Will Rogers Coliseum prior to the Futurity.
Please take note of this rule clarification to be sure that you are in compliance and do not take any actions in violation of this rule.
