Bred by Fults Ranch, Amarillo, Tex., Megician, by Metallic Cat, is a full brother to Metallic Rebel LTE $411,886, 2017 NCHA Open Horse of the Year, among earners of over $1.7 million out of Sweet Abra LTE $117,725, by Abrakadabracre.
Corvin, the NCHA earner of $314,315, has claimed several major Limited Open wins, including the 2019 PCCHA Derby on SJR Kit Kat Ruby; the 2018 Breeders Invitational on Justa Scootin Pepto LTE $39,730; and the 2017 Breeders Invitational on Genuine Gold Rey LTE $15,150. Most recently, Corvin placed fourth in the 2021 Bonanza 5/6 Open Intermediate on Rosa Del Pepto LTE $67,729, also owned by Stella Swanson. He placed third in the 2020 NCHA Futurity Open Limited as well, aboard Metabra LTE $10,578, a full sister to Megician, owned by Corvin and Swanson, and bred by Fults Ranch.
In addition, Corvin qualified Rosa Del Pepto and Tin Man LTE $36,174, both owned by Swanson, for the Super Stakes 5-Year-Old Intermediate Finals, on Wednesday, March 31.

Sired by Reyzin The Cash and bred by Chris Brenguard, Paragould, Ark., Reyzin Amanda is out of the High Brow CD daughter Sweet Lil Amanda LTE $266,915, who Matt Miller showed to win 2015 Open championships of the Ike Hamilton Derby, the Cattlemen’s Derby, and the West Texas 4-Year-Old Futurity, as well as the reserve championship of the 2016 Breeders Invitational 5/6 Open.
Miller showed Sweet Lil Amanda’s full sister Amandas CD LTE $283,571 as champion of the 2016 Abilene Spectacular 4-Year-Old Open and the 2016 Brazos Bash Open Brazos Bash, as well as reserve champion of the 2016 Breeders Invitational.

Miller is also a top contender going into Monday’s NCHA Super Stakes 5-Year-Old Open second go-round with a 223-point (tie) first go-round win aboard Tuff Nu Catillac LTE $44,493, owned by Blakley Colgrove Simoneaux.
R L Chartier, the NCHA Hall of Fame earner of over $2.4 million, won the 2019 NCHA 4-Year-Old Open Derby riding Caution Piping Hot LTE $102,693, who he most recently showed to place fifth in the Bonanza 5/6 Open for owner Anderson Cattle Company
Chartier is also a top contender, following a 221-point score in the first go-round, going into the NCHA Super Stakes 5/6 Year-Old second go-round on Pink Metallic, also owned by Anderson Cattle Company.
Gingersnaps LTE $59,387 and Morgan Cromer came into the Super Stakes following 2021 Arbuckle Mountain Open championship and Open Novice wins. Owned by 7 R Ranch LLC, Jackson, Wyo., and bred by Flying V Ranch, Val Verde, Calif., Gingersnaps is by Smooth Talkin Style out of the High Brow Cat daughter Catnaps LTE $79,920, a full sister to Kittens LTE $270,700 and Wildcats LTE $89,696.
Morgan Cromer, the NCHA Hall of Fame earner of $3.5 million, won the 2016 NCHA Super Stakes Classic aboard Maid Of Metal LTE $205,615, owned by Judy Stebel. Earlier this year, Cromer won the 2021 Arbuckle Mountain Open on Gingersnaps, as well as the Pacific Coast 4-Year-Old Roundup on Just U N Me Baby LTE $55,269, and the Open Novice on in the same event Gingersnaps, as well.
