The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is excited to announce the Southern Cutting Horse Futurity was selected to produce the 2021 NCHA Cotton Circuit Finals. The Cotton Circuit Finals is scheduled for November 5-7 at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe, Louisiana.
“I am really excited about this whole circuit concept,” said Thomas Guinn, Cotton Circuit Finals coordinator. “I think it’s going to be great for the NCHA, and I think it’s going to be great for the weekend cutter. We want all the affiliates in the Cotton Circuit to be involved in making this Finals happen. With their help, we can make the event better suited for everyone’s needs and their membership’s needs to make it a huge success for all of us.”
The NCHA Cotton Circuit Finals will invite the top 30 competitors from the Cotton Circuit to compete this fall in each of the NCHA weekend classes. For the 2021 event, all youth members who have designated the Cotton Circuit for this point year will be allowed to enter regardless of their place in the year-end standings.
“NCHA is looking forward to supporting Guinn as he produces this inaugural event,” said Jay Winborn, NCHA executive director. “Thomas [Guinn] along with Gwen Coie have done a great job with producing and growing the Southern Cutting Futurity for over 41 years, and we look forward to having him on board this year with the Cotton Circuit finals.”
